Clan Tarmaster is an Irish clan with a mission: destroy the vampiric race. The members of the clan are direct descendants of a Fianna Garou. Most members of the clan are tattoo sorcerors, home schooled in tattoo magic and their Garou heritage from the time they learn to speak. They fight the wyrm in what they believe to be it's most common weapon: vampires.

Whenever a Tarmaster exhibits signs of being a Garou, he is given to the Fianna, whom the family has maintained close ties to, at the age of 5 to be taught by them. Consequently, a Tarmaster Fianna (always homid) get many of the same benefits as a metis. They are able to take a metis gift in place of their homid gift during character creation and have a good understanding of Garou society. Although they are given to the Fianna, they still know who their family is. The Tarmasters have, historically, kept in close contact with their Garou children until the first change, when the pack becomes more important than family.

The human members of the clan trace their liniage back to 18th century Ireland, though, in truth, the liniage goes back as far as the 16th century. The first human Tarmasters hunted vampires with luck and weapons alone, not learning the secrets of tattoo magic until the late 1700s. Then, they became incredibly effective. Perhaps it is a product of their kinship to the Fianna, but the first tattoos recieved by any Tarmaster is always a tattoo of shapeshifting.

Currently, there are 5 known members of Clan Tarmaster, spread across the Eastern seaboard of the United States. The oldest is Bhodi, a gruff old veteran of the war waged in the shadows. At the age of 65, he still hunts, though he's becoming less and less effective. He recently gave over leadership of the clan to his 43 year old son, Eulin.

Harlen is Bhodi's younger brother, though he no longer hunts. Having lost his right arm to a vampire, and several powerful tattoos with it, he now supports the war by teaching the younger clan members, most notibly his grandson, Jamel.

The strongest member of the clan is Djinn, Harlen's son and Jamel's father. His powers recently changed and he is believed to have awakened and become a True Mage. His tattoos seem to be more flexible in what they can do and his shapeshifting abilities have become much more powerful. Where as other members of the clan can only take the forms of animals, Djinn recently turned himself into what appeared to be a Garou in Crinos form to duke it out with a vampire.

The clan believes that the odd names they use add to their power, however this isn't the case. Recently, a powerful oracle from the 7th age (the modern world is the 6th age) traveled back in time for some unknown purpose. He is Matthew Tarmaster, and he claims to be the grandson of Jamel. Needless to say, he maintains a low profile and, as an oracle, is by far the most powerful Tarmaster on the planet. He does not, however, hunt vampires and is only known to a few powerful magi. He has made himself known to Djinn, but he has not revealed his name to him.
